patient REVIEWS AT OUR
dublin city CLINIC

I couldn't have chosen better. The doctor is very attentive and the first consultation was very well explained and the treatment was productive. I already feel better after the first session and I already see a lot of difference in my posture

I have been attending Dr Irma in the Chiropractix cllinic for a month now. I have a shoulder injury and have see really great progress. The practice is very central, runs on time and has a lovely atmosphere. I would thoroughly recommend.

Chiropractix is an outstanding establishment, and I can confidently say that Paul and his team are the best in the business. Their level of expertise and commitment to their craft is truly exceptional. What sets them apart, besides their remarkable skills, is the professionalism and friendliness they exude. The moment you walk through their doors, you're greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. The service they provide is not only top-notch but also delivered with a genuine care for their clients' well-being. I can't recommend Chiropractix highly enough

The best chiropractic care facility in the country, hands down. The experienced team take incredible care of each patient and have a sharp key to detail and add homely personal touch to each visit.

I couldn't recommend Chiropractix more, if you have any issues going on or need maintenance on your body, if you are a world class athlete or if you are an everyday hero - this is the place for you!

FAQs

  • Is Chiropractic Treatment Safe?
Yes, Chiropractic care is the gentle manipulation of your joints to help your spine and nervous system function at its optimum. When delivered by a qualified and registered practitioner, there is nothing to worry about. Even the Irish Health Service website lists Chiropractic as a safe and effective treatment for lower back pain. From our research the negativity that surrounds Chiropractic particularly in Ireland, is rooted in unqualified and unregistered "practitioners," performing manual treatments without the knowledge and sufficient qualification. This is something that has decreased in recent years and Ireland has a pool of fantastic, caring and qualified practitioners throughout the country. We recommend that you only visit a Chiropractor that is registered with the Chiropractic Association of Ireland, as not only are they the only regulating body in the country, they also ensure that each member is qualified from an accredited university with a minimum of a 4 year full time degree, along with ensuring that all members have constant and continuous professional development. You can read more about the Chiropractic Association of Ireland on our website.
  • How many treatments will I need?
Every complaint is different. When visiting our clinic, our practitioners will always do a full examination, take a complete case history and communicate with you about your issue prior to receiving any treatment. The severity of your complaint will dictate the amount of treatment you will require. We always advise our patients to have realistic expectations when looking for results.
  • Do I need to be in pain to visit a Chiropractor?
No. Chiropractors were the leaders in the, "Wellness Movement", and most Chiropractors have a huge patient base of people who use Chiropractic Treatment as a way to be healthy, stay healthy and improve overall well being and wellness.
  • Is Chiropractic Care expensive?
Visiting a Chiropractor can be an expensive commitment, however, at Chiropractix we do things a little differently as our aim is to get you better above all. We will work with any patient who is serious about getting the results they need, to ensure that the treatment plan they are advised is manageable and affordable for their lifestyle.
  • Will treatment be sore?
Receiving Chiropractic Adjustments is for the most part painless. Most research show 5% of patients may have a slight flare off of the complaint after receiving treatment, however this dissipates within 24 hours, with the majority of patients noticing a vast improvement. We always advise all of our patients to contact the clinic if they are experiencing any post treatment issues, and one of practitioners will speak to them directly and put their mind at ease.
  • Can I still exercise when receiving treatment?
In the majority of cases, resuming normal daily life and activity is advised, however, if a certain activity is causing aggravation of your complaint, your practitioner will advise you accordingly.
  • What is the popping / cracking sound?
When getting a Chiropractic Adjustment, it is normal to hear a, "popping or cracking," sound. In fact this sound is most associated with Chiropractic Treatment and is where the term, "getting my back cracked," comes from. The sound when a chiropractic adjustment is performed, is the, "popping," of gas bubbles built up within the fluid of a joint and is called an, "Audible Release." This isn't always heard or felt when getting a Chiropractic Adjustment, however, that does not mean the action has been performed incorrectly or the release didn't occur.
  • What do Chiropractors Study?
Registered Chiropractors study similar subjects as all other Healthcare and Medical Professionals. Chiropractors have the added ability and qualification to take and read X-Rays, and Spinal MRI scan's, as a large portion of their course is Radiology and Radiography. Some of our Chiropractors have studied in University, full-time for up to 7 years, putting their study time in-line with Dentists and General Practitioners (GP's). All of the practitioners at our clinics have a minimum of a 4 year, full-time University degree and study subjects such as: Anatomy, Neurology, Pathology, Orthopaedics, Radiology & Radiography, Neuroanatomy as well as spending a considerable amount of their course, learning the very precise skills of manual treatment (Chiropractic Adjusting) and all soft tissue treatments such as Active Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Dry Needling.
  • What is an Adjustment (Manipulation / Mobilisation)
Chiropractors Adjust. As the founders of manually moving your joints into proper alignment, this is what Chiropractors do at the core of their profession. In recent years there has been a noticeable increase in other Healthcare Providers such as Physios, Physical Therapists, and even GP's starting to perform complex and difficult Manipulation / Mobilisation techniques, and in most instances they have completed a very short add-on course to their original qualification (A 6 month Masters qualification or shorter). We would always recommend that if you are having your body adjusted (Manipulated / Mobilised) that you are always safer in the hands of a Registered Chiropractor, who not only has studied these techniques in detail at the core of their qualification (Daily for a minimum of 4 years), but also spends the majority of their professional career performing them.
  • Should I use hot or cold when I am sore?
We advise that when someone is experiencing pain, that they initially use a cold pack on the area of pain for between 5 to 15 minutes as this reduces inflammation. Heat can have soothing and comforting feelings, however, it can often aggravate the already inflamed area. It is always best to have your complaint assessed before using any form of hot or cold treatment.
